Yolanda van Gellecum

Yolanda is a social researcher who has specialised in survey design and advanced statistical modelling. Her training was undertaken at The University of Queensland Institute of Social Research, where she undertook PhD research in labour market inequality with a focus on occupational sex segregation. Yolanda has worked on academic collaborations as a statistical researcher and has led numerous program evaluations and commissioned research reports for strategy and policy development. Within the academic setting, Yolanda has lectured and tutored in introductory and advanced statistics, and research methods. She has also co-authored numerous peer reviewed scientific journal publications within the areas of epidemiology and sociology.

Areas of research and publication include: examining student performance metrics and determinants of student success within the Queensland tertiary education setting; modelling epidemiological panel data for the effects of physical activity on quality of life; longitudinal modelling of organisational systems data with clinical performance data for Australian hospitals; analysis of the Australian Labour market and gender pay gap; and geospatial distribution of socio-economic outcomes across Australian communities.
